Because volunteers are so vital to the Cal Ripken World Series, we hope those who have volunteered in the past will volunteer again for the 2009 Cal Ripken World Series.
We are working to make this year a huge success, and we need help from past and new volunteers alike to make it happen. All of us who work on the World Series know it requires many months of planning and a lot of hard work in order to succeed. We need the support of the community in and around Harford County to make the event as successful as possible. The 2009 Cal Ripken World Series will take place August 14-22 at the Ripken Academy in Aberdeen, MD. We are in need of 50-60 general volunteers and 100 host families. Please contact our office to find out how you can help out (410-823-0808). Volunteers are needed for ushering, ticket taking, parking, program sales and merchandise, shuttle, security, and information tables. We look forward to seeing volunteers from the past come out again to support the Cal Ripken World Series and hope to see many new faces supporting this community iniatitive.
